Rep. French Hill (AR-02) issued the following statement after voting against House Democrats’ latest scheme for a federal takeover of elections.

“Today’s vote was another Democrat attempt to transfer election authority from the states to an unelected ‘Election Czar’ in Washington, DC, and worse, with their far-left agenda on the ropes, they resorted to fancy legislative tricks dreamed up late at night deep in the Capitol.  Voting rights are fundamental to American democracy, and any changes to voting laws must have the support of both Republicans and Democrats; today’s vote was not that and it is likely to fail in the Senate.”
