Rep. French Hill (AR-02), Ranking Member of the Housing, Community Development, and Insurance Subcommittee on the House Financial Services Committee, issued the following statement after staff received a briefing from the Treasury Department on the Emergency Rental Assistance (ERA) Program yesterday:

“I’m disappointed that less than two-thirds of the $46 billion of rental aid has been disbursed or allocated over a year after the program launched. I share Chairman Cleaver’s concerns about Treasury’s plans to claw back ERA funding. Taking money away from rural communities like those across Arkansas ignores the acute housing problems that exist outside of America’s big cities.”
