RALEIGH: Today, the League of Conservation Voters Action Fund announced their endorsement of Cheri Beasley for U.S. Senate.
“Chief Justice Cheri Beasley has spent her career fighting for justice for all North Carolinians, and we could not be more excited to support her campaign for the U.S. Senate,” said LCV Action Fund Senior Vice President of Government Affairs Tiernan Sittenfeld. “Chief Justice Beasley is committed to fighting for climate action, environmental justice, and a strong democracy in Congress and will always put the health and well-being of communities ahead of polluter profits and will fight for good-paying union jobs in the clean energy sector.”
“After 18 years of a senator who votes against the environment 91% of the time, it will be a literal breath of fresh air to have a champion like Cheri Beasley representing our state in the Senate,” said North Carolina League of Conservation Voters Executive Director Carrie Clark. “She has spent her life fighting for justice in our courts, and we can’t wait for her to bring that fight to Washington, especially for Black and Brown North Carolinians who have gone unrepresented in that body for so long.”

The League of Conservation Voters Action Fund joins over 200 leaders in endorsing Beasley for U.S. Senate, including Governor Roy Cooper, State Senator Jeff Jackson, Attorney General Josh Stein, all Democratic members of North Carolina’s congressional delegation, more than 100 faith leaders across the state, and key organizations including NC State AFL-CIO, EMILY’s List, Congressional Black Caucus PAC, Planned Parenthood Action Fund, End Citizens United // Let America Vote, Higher Heights for America PAC, The Collective PAC. Since entering the race, Beasley has outraised every single candidate, including Trump-endorsed Congressman Ted Budd and former Governor Pat McCrory.
