RALEIGH: This week, Communications Workers Of America (CWA) announced their endorsement of U.S. Senate candidate Cheri Beasley. The CWA represents over 700,000 people in the United States who work in telecommunications, media, law enforcement, health care, the airline industry, and other critical fields.
“As a proud CWA union member, it is important for us to elect candidates that understand organized labor and our struggles. As a former union member, Cheri Beasley has walked in our shoes. Electing Cheri will mean unions have someone to fight with us, not against us,” said Grant Welch, Political Director for Communications Workers of America.
“Communications Workers of America ensure that workers across the state have a voice – and the benefits, working conditions, and support they need. Their work is so important, and they need a partner in Washington who will always stand up for workers – I’ll be proud to serve as that partner, and I’m grateful to earn their endorsement in this race,” said Cheri Beasley.
CWA joins key organizations, and over 200 leaders in endorsing Beasley for U.S. Senate, including Governor Roy Cooper, Attorney General Josh Stein, all Democratic members of North Carolina’s congressional delegation, and more than 100 faith leaders. Beasley has outraised every candidate in the U.S. Senate field since entering the race.
