RALEIGH: Today, on the first day of early voting in the North Carolina primary, Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate Cheri Beasley voted in Wake County.

“Throughout this campaign, I’ve been traveling from the mountains to the coast talking with voters about issues most important to them. One thing’s clear – Washington has failed North Carolinians. I’m running to change that and to put North Carolina first, and I’ll take with me the values of hard work, integrity, and justice that have guided my entire life,” said Cheri Beasley.

Yesterday, Cheri Beasley celebrated the one-year anniversary of launching her campaign for U.S. Senate. Since then, Beasley has traveled across the state meeting voters and uplifting the issues important to them – from rising costs, to affordable health care, and creating good paying jobs. Beasley has earned the support of key organizations and over 200 leaders across the state, including Governor Roy Cooper, Attorney General Josh Stein, all Democratic members of North Carolina’s congressional delegation, and more than 100 faith leaders. Beasley has outraised every candidate for U.S. Senate since entering the race, earning contributions from all 100 counties in North Carolina.
