RALEIGH: Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate Cheri Beasley’s campaign launched her second statewide television ad “Jobs,” highlighting her commitment to putting North Carolinians first. The spot shows her focus on hard work and doing what’s right throughout the different roles she’s held – whether as a restaurant server, public defender, Chief Justice of the North Carolina Supreme Court, or mom.

“I’ve had a lot of jobs in my life – restaurant server, public defender, Chief Justice of the North Carolina Supreme Court, and mom. I’ve approached all of them with hard work and a commitment to do what’s right,” Beasley said. “Looking at Washington, I think both parties are doing the job wrong. Instead of focusing on what people care about – they get caught up in political games. I’m running for Senate because our Senator’s job should be working for you.”

“Jobs” is the second statewide ad Beasley’s campaign has launched and will run statewide. This comes after Beasley outraised the entire North Carolina Senate field with $3.6 million raised and $5.1 million cash-on-hand in the first fundraising quarter of 2022, including raising more than all of the Republican candidates, combined.

As the Republican Senate primary continues its race to the bottom with no clear nominee in sight, Beasley has focused on meeting voters where they are and speaking out on the issues people care about – including lowering costs, strengthening the economy, and expanding access to affordable health care. She has also earned key endorsements from major organizations and over 200 leaders across the state, including Governor Roy Cooper, Attorney General Josh Stein, every Democratic member of North Carolina’s congressional delegation, and over 100 faith leaders.

Read a transcript of “Jobs” below.

I’ve had a lot of jobs in my life –

Restaurant server.

Public defender.

Chief Justice of the North Carolina Supreme Court.

Mom.

And I’ve approached all of them with hard work and a commitment to do what’s right.

Looking at Washington, I think both parties are doing the

job wrong.

Instead of focusing on what people care about – they get

caught up in political games.

I’m Cheri Beasley and I approve this message because our

Senator’s job should be working for you.
