RALEIGH: Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate Cheri Beasley traveled throughout Eastern North Carolina this week to hear from voters about the issues impacting their lives and share her commitment to fighting for all of North Carolina in the U.S Senate. Beasley met with North Carolinians from Hertford County, Dare County, Pasquotank County, Washington County, and Beaufort County – at a cafe, community college, museum, and more – where she shared her experiences as a mother who raised her children in North Carolina and as a former public defender, judge and Chief Justice who has spent nearly three decades serving North Carolinians. She heard from North Carolinians about the need to lower costs, support rural economies, expand access to health care and more.

“From Dare County to Hertford County, I heard about how Washington has left folks in North Carolina behind, especially in rural communities. North Carolinians here, and all across the state, are struggling with rising costs, expensive health care, and jobs that don’t pay the bills, and they need a leader who will fight to lower costs and create good-paying jobs. I’ll be that Senator, and I’ll always stand up for our rural communities here in North Carolina,” said Cheri Beasley.
