RALEIGH: Today, Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate Cheri Beasley shared the following statement after the Senate failed to protect the constitutional right to reproductive freedom:

This failure by the Senate is unacceptable and dangerous in the wake of the Supreme Court’s leaked opinion that would take away the constitutional rights of women across this nation, especially as states prepare to ban or severely restrict reproductive freedom even in the most extreme circumstances.

We know that the threat to our fundamental freedoms does not stop here and that our rights are on the ballot this November.
