RALEIGH: Today, Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate Cheri Beasley’s campaign launched her third television ad, “Safer,” highlighting Beasley’s record of working to keep North Carolinians safe, including partnering with law enforcement to create North Carolina’s first human trafficking court.

“As a judge, I saw how human traffickers took advantage of our roads, turning our state into one of the worst places in America for this horrific crime. So as Chief Justice, I worked with law enforcement to get traffickers off our streets creating the state’s first human trafficking court,” Beasley says in the ad. “In the Senate, I’ll never stop fighting to make North Carolina safe.”

The ad will run in media markets across the state and airs one day after Beasley’s campaign announced that they had raised $1 million in the pre-primary fundraising period.

North Carolina has more highways than just about anywhere.

But as a judge, I saw how human traffickers took advantage of our roads, turning our state into one of the worst places in America for this horrific crime.

So as Chief Justice, I worked with law enforcement to get traffickers off our streets creating the state’s first human trafficking court.

I’m Cheri Beasley, and in the Senate, I’ll never stop fighting to make North Carolina safe. That’s why I approve this message.
