Today, Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate Cheri Beasley shared the following statement on Military Appreciation Month:

“This month, we honor our brave servicemembers, veterans, and their families who sacrifice to keep our country safe, including over 800,000 active-duty servicemembers and veterans who call North Carolina home.

My husband Curt and I raised our family in Fayetteville and saw firsthand the courage and commitment of our service members and their families, and we know that so much more must be done to support them and our veterans from increasing pay to investing in and improving Veterans Affairs.

Today and every day, I am deeply grateful to our servicemembers and veterans and I will fight to ensure we honor our obligation to them in the U.S. Senate.
