Hollywood liberal Mehmet Oz once again lied about his record of pushing Extreme Left policy positions, and refused to answer concerns voters across the Commonwealth have about his past statements and close ties to a hostile foreign government. It could not be more clear Oz is a phony who will read whatever script is put in front of him to win and is aligned with the Hollywood left, not Pennsylvania.

During last night’s PA GOP Senate primary debate, Oz again either lied or refused to answer for his Hollywood liberal record and concerning ties to the authoritarian Turkish government and military.

When asked about his service to the Turkish Army and close ties to the Turkish government he said “There is no issue with my national security” and that Pennsylvanians should trust he is “America First”.

The reality is:

• Mehmet Oz was born in the United States and as an adult chose to serve in the Turkish Army over the American Army.
• Oz and his family are closely connected to the authoritarian Erdogan Turkish government. Several national security experts have expressed concerns with his close ties to a hostile foreign government.
• Oz keeps his dual citizenship to Turkey because he of his financial assets and legal matters in Turkey, and is a paid spokesperson for government-owned companies. In fact, Oz has potentially violated foreign agent law for being paid by Turkish Airlines. A U.S. passport would allow him to visit family in Turkey freely. 

Mehmet Oz said he is “pro-life.”

    The facts are:

• Three years ago this month Oz told the Breakfast Club podcast he was ‘very worried’ about states enacting restrictive abortion policies that go against Roe v. Wade and attacked pro-life Pennsylvanians for ‘picking fights.’ The simple fact is that Oz is a total phony who will buckle under pressure from the Left’s pro-abortion agenda in Washington. 
• Oz defended Roe v. Wade and said that he did not “want to interfere” with a woman’s ability to abort her baby, and suggested that pro-life laws would make businesses leave red states.
• Oz is said he is, “not socially conservative. … we should not be creating obstacles during the difficult time that women have when trying to terminate a pregnancy.”

Oz said he will support American energy and Pennsylvania’s natural gas industry.

    The facts are:

• Oz said fracking caused birth defects, proposed copying New York’s ban on fracking, and even said a law that requires anyone who profits from a fracking site to drink the local water ‘could be effective.’
• Mehmet Oz was a cheerleader for Obama’s EPA and more environmental regulations. 
• Oz has also said ‘Climate Change’ posed a catastrophic risk to human health, blamed fracking for air pollution, and called for stricter air quality regulations from the EPA.
• Oz said fracking and coal mines contaminate Pennsylvania’s water supply, attacked energy companies on his show for contaminating the water supply, and advised expecting mothers who live near fracking wells to ‘keep three kilometers away from fracking fields’ due to the environmental and health risks associated with water pollution from fracking.

Oz said on illegal immigration that “The [southern] border is a traffic center for cartels” that we need to shut down.

    The facts are:

• Oz made money from his family company, Asplundh Tree Service, while running for U.S. Senate that paid the largest fine in ICE history for conspiring to hire and retain illegal immigrants over American workers.  
• Oz supported amnesty for the children of illegal immigrants while saying any immigration reform should not penalize dreamers.  
• Oz served as spokesman for the California Endowment’s healthcare initiative, the same group that pushed for government insurance for illegal immigrants.

Oz talked tough saying he would stand up to China when in fact he’s made his fortune from the Chinese Communist Party and praised China’s handling of COVID lockdowns.

    The facts show:

• Oz criticized Trump’s tough-on-China approach in an interview on Chinese state TV and said, “I love working in China.”
• Oz made his fortune working with the Chinese government to broadcast and film his TV show in China.
• Oz was paid over $50 million by USANA/BabyCare, a health company that manufactures products in China.
• Oz co-authored a book, Yin Yang You, with a Chinese professor Analong Xu, to promote traditional Chinese medicine, a key tenant of the CCP’s communist propaganda worldwide.
• Oz praised Xi for promoting Chinese Traditional Medicine.
• Oz worked in a Chinese military hospital.
• Oz has financial ties to Remark Holdings, an artificial intelligence company providing surveillance technologies to the Chinese government.
