On Thursday, February 24, 2022, from 10am-11am CT, Rep. French Hill (AR-02) will hold a press conference to unveil the portrait of Scipio Jones at the Scipio Jones Post Office at 1700 Main Street in Little Rock.
Rep. Hill will be joined by John Gill; Nate Coulter, Executive Director, Central Arkansas Library System; Colin Thompson, Art Administrator, Central Arkansas Library System; Garbo Hearne, Project Art Consultant; and Julie Gosdin, AR/ OK District Manager.
In December 2020, Rep. Hill’s legislation to allow a full-sized portrait of Scipio Jones to be on display at the Little Rock Post Office which bears his name was signed into law by President Trump.
The event will be open to members of the press.
