DENVER - The campaign of Joe O’Dea for United States Senate released a list of prominent endorsements from current and former Republican elected officials across the State of Colorado.
“These leaders understand that it’s time for Colorado to elect a new Senator - and they are putting their faith in me to get the job done,” said Joe O’Dea. “Our nation - and our state - stands at a crossroads. We cannot continue to elect leaders who fail to stand up for working Americans like Michael Bennet. I am humbled by these endorsements - and I am humbled by the support I’ve gotten from thousands of Republicans across Colorado.”
Statements of Support
“I have enjoyed the privilege of traveling throughout Colorado’s backcountry with Joe and know how deeply he embraces the values that make Colorado such a special place,” said Lyle Laverty, former Assistant Secretary of the Interior. “Joe understands wise, sustainable use and stewardship of our natural resources will strengthen Colorado’s economy and support America’s energy independence. It is an honor for me to endorse Joe O’Dea as Colorado’s next Senator.”
“I cannot think of a better person that Republicans can put forward to beat Michael Bennet in November than Joe O’Dea,” said State Senator Jerry Sonnenberg. “Joe will fight to represent ALL of Colorado and put an end to the Democrats’ war on rural Colorado. Whether it’s our agricultural or energy industries, Joe will defend our way of life and means of earning a living. I encourage all freedom-loving Republicans to support Joe O’Dea for Senate.”
“We need leaders who know how to get things done, not grandstand,” said State Senator Bob Rankin. “Too often, our leaders are focused on rhetoric over results. That’s why I support Joe O’Dea, because he will be a results-oriented Senator who will do the work necessary to deliver for the people of Colorado. I fully endorse his candidacy.”
“Joe isn’t a career politician - he’s a builder - he’s a businessman,” said Senator Ray Scott. “He has spent his life building the roads and bridges that keep our state moving forward, and in the Senate, he will work to build the foundations of a prosperous future for our nation. He is the conservative outsider that Colorado needs in the Senate and I wholeheartedly endorse him and encourage Republicans to support him in the primary.”
“Joe’s story is truly an American story,” said former State Senator Owen Hill. “Adopted by a Denver police officer, he left school to learn a trade, and then went on to build one of the most successful construction companies in the state. He is exactly the kind of leader we need to send to Washington D.C. He understands the struggles of working Coloradans and will advocate for them. I am excited to endorse his campaign for United States Senate.”
“It is time that Colorado elects a new Senator with experience in the real world,” said former State Representative Libby Szabo. “Joe O’Dea is a business owner who knows what it takes to create jobs and give Coloradoans the opportunity to prosper. Being a son of a police officer, Joe knows how important it is that we have safe communities to raise our families. There is no better candidate to go head to head with the accidental senator, Michael Bennet, and his liberal politics that are creating hardship for every Coloradoan. I am honored to support Joe and encourage you to support him and take back the Colorado we know and love.”
“Joe O’Dea really knows how negative decisions in Washington can affect every business and each individual, especially now with the decisions being made by politicians who don’t understand how tough it is for every American to make ends meet,” said former State Representative Keith Swerdfeger. “Let’s get Joe to the United States Senate to bring a little common sense to the institution and make the future better for every American.”
“Now more than ever, we need change in Washington, and Joe O’Dea is that change,” said former State Representative Rob Witwer. “The status quo isn’t working, and it’s time to send proven problem solvers to Washington to put this great country back on track.”
“Joe O’Dea is the candidate who truly knows what it’s like to work his way to success,” said former State Representative Polly Lawrence. “He worked during high school to pay for tuition, left college to start his construction company, and worked to build one of the most successful firms in Colorado. He wasn’t handed success, he worked hard to succeed in a highly competitive industry. Joe is the fair-minded, hardworking, person we need as our next senator. Join me in supporting Joe O’Dea for the US Senate.”
“Joe has really made an effort to come to rural Colorado and listen to our concerns,” said Commissioner Byron Pelton. “It’s refreshing to have a statewide candidate take an interest in - and pledge to defend - our agriculture and energy industries. I endorse his candidacy for the United States Senate.”
