DENVER – The campaign for U.S. Senate candidate Joe O’Dea released endorsements of leaders in Colorado’s energy industry, highlighting the need for new leaders to step forward and restore America’s energy independence. The international energy crisis was started by Biden and Bennet’s radical policies, but made worse by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

“I am honored to have the support of those who work to keep our cars running, our homes warm, and our state moving forward,” said Joe O’Dea. “The invasion of Ukraine has revealed the weakness of Joe Biden and Michael Bennet’s energy strategy and the importance of eliminating our nation’s dependence on dictators and tyrants for our energy.”

Douglas Benevento, the former Deputy Administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency: “We need leaders like Joe O’Dea who understand the need to develop the oil and natural gas resources we have in Colorado and in the United States. The energy we develop is cleaner and safer than what is imported from other countries and Joe understands that. He’ll support policies that promote American job creation, our national security and our environment.”

Jack Hamlin, Vice President of Energy Strong: “Now, more than ever, we need outsiders like Joe, who understand the importance of domestic energy production. Colorado is a proud producer of natural gas and oil – delivering American natural resources to American consumers, using American labor. Energy Strong supports people who understand the importance of keeping energy affordable and reliable for Coloradans. Energy Strong fully endorses Joe O’Dea for Senate.”

John Harpole, President of Mercator Energy and a national leader in oil and gas markets and policy: “Colorado and the West should be a global energy leader -- one that embraces all forms of energy development, including the production of oil and gas resources. Joe O'Dea has the smarts, the toughness, and the experience to take the fight to the far left on oil and gas issues, both during a campaign and, more importantly, as Colorado's US Senator. Joe O'Dea is the kind of Senator who will fight for energy jobs and energy independence.”

Coloradans are currently experiencing gas prices approaching a $4 average per gallon - an increase of more than a dollar per gallon over the last year - and utility bills surging upwards of 37%. Despite this, Senator Michael Bennet has been silent on urging the federal government - or his friends in state government - to urgently boost energy production domestically.

“Michael Bennet has failed to push back on his party’s radical energy policies,” said Joe O’Dea. “Because of this, we’re more dependent on despots and dictators for our energy than we have been in years.”
