DENVER - Governor Jared Polis and the administration are focused on ensuring rapid use of all vaccines in Colorado and the equitable distribution and administration of the COVID-19 vaccine across Colorado. Today, the Governor visited a community health clinic in Denver where he met with community members and a large-scale vaccination clinic at The National Western Complex.

“Vaccines are our gateway to saving lives and getting back to the Colorado we love. It was wonderful to visit with community members and providers on the frontlines of this race against the clock. My administration is laser-focused on making sure the vaccine is quickly and equitably distributed which is why we are getting out in the community, working with community-based groups to reduce hesitancy, meeting people where they are at, and working hard to get more shots into more arms,” said Gov. Polis. “We will continue to do our part by wearing masks and avoiding social gatherings and we will get through this pandemic even stronger than before.”

Governor Polis, Senator Julie Gonzales, Rep. Serena Gonzales-Gutierrez, and community leaders visited a community health clinic at Saint Cajetan Catholic Church which is operated in partnership with National Jewish Health. This clinic is vaccinating nearly 500 Coloradans who are 70 and older. Gov. Polis then visited a COVID-19 vaccine clinic at the National Western Complex operated in partnership with SCL Health which plans to vaccinate 5,000 Coloradans this weekend.
