Lt. Governor Mandela Barnes, candidate for U.S. Senate, scored a resounding victory in tonight’s Democratic Senate primary debate.

Maddy McDaniel, communications director for Mandela Barnes for Wisconsin, made the following statement:

“Tonight, Mandela Barnes rose above the crowd and showed Wisconsin why he is the strongest, best choice to take on Ron Johnson in November. Mandela laid out his credentials as a working class candidate with a proven track record of delivering for working people.

“Mandela was the only candidate on the debate stage with the enthusiasm, experience, and support necessary to win in November. That’s why he’s been leading in the polls since entering the race, is the strongest candidate in a head to head match up with Ron Johnson, and is the only candidate in the race leading with Independent voters. Just like he did in 2018 when he helped Tony Evers kick Scott Walker out of office, Mandela will unite Wisconsin Democrats and Independents to send Ron Johnson packing in November.”
