U.S. Representative Peter Meijer (R-MI) last night spoke on the House floor to express his concern with the state of our nation’s economy and called on his colleagues to produce meaningful legislation to address the skyrocketing inflation and debt. The remarks follow last Friday’s Consumer Price Index (CPI) report which found that consumer prices increased 8.6 percent in May from the same month last year, marking its fastest pace since December of 1981.
