U.S. Reps. Elissa Slotkin, D-Mich., and Peter Meijer, R-Mich. joined Michael S. Barr, Ford School of Public Policy dean, Tuesday morning to discuss the implications of domestic terrorism in the United States.

Barr first asked the representatives to comment on the Jan. 6 pro-Trump riot at the U.S. Capitol building. Both Slotkin and Meijer said they were concerned about the lack of security measures taken to prevent the attempted insurrection. Slotkin said the incident exposed vulnerabilities in Capitol security and raised larger issues of domestic terrorism in the United States.
