U.S. Rep. Elissa Slotkin has asked the Federal Bureau of Investigations to hold a briefing on a report that said its Indianapolis office failed to investigate reports of Larry Nassar's sexual abuse in 2015.

Slotkin, D-Holly, said she was "deeply disturbed" by the report's findings and by how the FBI handled the case.

"(The FBI) cant change the past and neither can I, but as representative of Michigan State, I can provide real accountability on how we're going to ensure the same things don't happen to new survivors who come forward," Slotkin said.
