Legislation to designate the Post Office building at 108 W. Maple in Holly as the "Holly Veterans Memorial Post Office"was signed into law by President Donald Trump on Dec. 21, 2020. The legislation was introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives by Elissa Slotkin 8th Congressional District. "As home to the Great Lakes National Cemetery – one of the largest federal veterans cemeteries in the nation – and with such a large community of service members, it's only fitting that Holly's Post Office be renamed to honor the service and sacrifice of our men and women in uniform. I'm eager to join my neighbors in Holly as well as local leaders and service members on Veterans Day to mark this special occasion," said Representative Elissa Slotkin.
