Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) today announced that the University of Memphis will receive a grant of $39,786 from the National Science Foundation supporting a project entitled “Collaborative Research: P2C2 – Medieval to Modern Climate Variability and Climate Change in the Great Plains” under the direction of Earth Sciences Professor Dorian Burnette.
Congressman Cohen made the following statement:
“I congratulate the university and Dr. Burnette on receiving this prestigious National Science Foundation grant award. Understanding climate change as a historical phenomenon will help us to better address it. This is a smart investment in our future.”
