Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) today announced that the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) will receive a grant of $999,861 for nursing education, practice, quality and retention from the Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of U.S. Health Resources and Services.
Congressman Cohen made the following statement:
“Training nurses and encouraging their dedication to this noble profession pays major dividends every day. This significant investment in nursing education and workforce development will increase the number of nurses, elevate the quality of our nurses and ultimately improve the care they provide to patients.”
