Congressman Cohen Announces Emergency Relief Grants to Southwest Tennessee Community College and Baptist Memorial College of Health Sciences

Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-09) today announced that Southwest Tennessee Community College will receive a grant of $2,673,526 and Baptist Memorial College of Health Sciences will receive a grant of $43,244 from the U.S. Department of Education’s Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund.

Congressman Cohen made the following statement:

“Investments in higher education always pay off and these grants to Southwest Tennessee Community College and the Baptist Memorial College of Health Sciences make a major difference for students. Higher education has taken a hit from the pandemic and its institutions need help. I am pleased to announce this assistance to these important Memphis institutions.”
