Today, Derrick Anderson, candidate for Congress in Virginia’s 7th District, received the endorsement of Congressman Barry Moore (AL-02), adding to a growing list of sitting Members of Congress supporting him in his race against Abigail Spanberger.

“I’m thrilled to support Derrick Anderson in his race for Congress. He is a strong conservative, a Special Forces Green Beret, and will be steadfast in his beliefs in the halls of Congress. We need more conservative veterans in Congress, now more than ever, which is why I am putting my full support behind Derrick,” said Congressman Barry Moore.

“Congressman Moore is an extremely strong Member of Congress. He stands true to his conservative principles and values, and doesn’t back down from them…ever. I appreciate him putting his faith in me with his endorsement. With his help, and the help of other Members of Congress, we’re going to beat Abigail Spanberger and retire Nancy Pelosi in November. It’s time to flip the House. Thank you for your support Congressman Moore,” said Anderson.

Derrick Anderson is a native of Spotsylvania County, a graduate of Courtland High School, was in the Corps of Cadets at Virginia Tech, and received his J.D. from Georgetown Law.  He is a former Special Forces “Green Beret” with 6 tours of duty overseas, including Afghanistan, Iraq, and various countries throughout the Middle East.
