Derrick Anderson, candidate for Congress in Virginia’s 7th District, released the following statement following President Joe Biden’s State of the Union address:
“The speech we heard tonight on Capitol Hill illustrated exactly why we need a change in leadership in Washington. Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, and Abigail Spanberger all support the radical policies that have caused rampant inflation and raised the cost of living for average Virginians. My campaign has provided an alternate vision, where conservative policies will keep the cost of living and price of goods low. We need to fix our broken immigration system, secure our border, and make America a leader in the world. I served my country overseas as a Green Beret and I know what it will take to make America a leader again.”
Derrick Anderson is a native of Spotsylvania County, a graduate of Courtland High School, was in the Corps of Cadets at Virginia Tech, and received his J.D. from Georgetown Law. He is a former Special Forces “Green Beret” with 6 tours of duty overseas, including Afghanistan, Iraq, and various countries throughout the Middle East. Derrick was named to Young Gun’s “On the Radar” list, and is being supported by SealPAC and multiple sitting members of Congress, including the only Green Beret in Congress, Mike Waltz.
