Today, Derrick Anderson, candidate for Congress in Virginia’s 7th District, received the endorsement of Orange County School Board Member Melissa Anderson.
“Derrick is who we need to represent us in VA-7. With his experience as a Green Beret, his constitutional background, and the hard work he’s displayed on the campaign trail, I know he will be a great member of Congress. I am proud to endorse Derrick Anderson for Congress,” said School Board Member Melissa Anderson.
“Melissa is on the front line fighting for parents and their kids in our schools. It’s time we start putting our kids first and pushing back against the far-left agenda that is trickling down from Washington into our public schools. Thank you for your support and for your work to better education in Orange County,” said Anderson.
Derrick Anderson is a native of Spotsylvania County, a graduate of Courtland High School, was in the Corps of Cadets at Virginia Tech, and received his J.D. from Georgetown Law.
He is a former Special Forces “Green Beret” with 6 tours of duty overseas, including Afghanistan, Iraq, and various countries throughout the Middle East. Derrick was the first VA-07 candidate named to the Young Gun’s “On the Radar” list, and is being supported by SealPAC and multiple sitting members of Congress, including the only Green Beret in Congress, Mike Waltz.
