Today, Derrick Anderson, candidate for Congress in Virginia’s 7th District, received the endorsement of former Physician and Deputy Assistant to the President Congressman Ronny Jackson.
“I am truly honored to endorse Green Beret and fellow combat veteran Derrick Anderson in his race for Congress. As he has done over the course of 6 deployments, Derrick is a proven leader who is well-suited to serve his country yet again. He’ll be a fantastic representative for his constituents in central Virginia, and I look forward to serving alongside Derrick in Congress,” said Congressman Ronny Jackson.
“I’m honored to have Congressman Ronny Jackson’s support in my primary. As a doctor, a combat veteran, and now a member of Congress, Congressman Jackson has served this great country and its people in more ways than one and I plan to do the same. His support is extremely valuable leading into my June 21st primary and I’m grateful,” said Anderson.
Derrick Anderson is a native of Spotsylvania County, a graduate of Courtland High School, was in the Corps of Cadets at Virginia Tech, and received his J.D. from Georgetown Law. He is a former Special Forces “Green Beret” with 6 tours of duty overseas, including Afghanistan, Iraq, and various countries throughout the Middle East. Derrick was the first VA-07 candidate named to the Young Gun’s “On the Radar” list, and is being supported by SealPAC and multiple sitting members of Congress, including the only Green Beret in Congress, Mike Waltz and U.S. Senator Tom Cotton.
