Congressman Raja recently appeared on WGN to discuss price gouging and the ongoing infant formula shortage. The Congressman told WGN hosts, “There is too much of this happening with regards to food prices generally – they’ve increased prices upwards of double digits and their net profits have soared 300-500% over the last year and a half.” Congressman Krishnamoorthi further discussed these companies “raising prices under the cover of inflation” and having such strong control of their industries that “other competitors aren’t able to enter and lower prices.”
