Washington — Today, Representative Rick Crawford (AR-01) released the following statement after voting against H.R. 1808, a bill that re-defines “assault weapons” to include commonly used semi-automatic firearms:

“Despite a recession and high inflation eating away at family budgets, House Democrats are focused instead on symbolic votes that would undermine the constitutional rights of law-abiding Americans. Banning Arkansans’ firearms would neither make us safer nor reverse the devastation of the Biden economy.”
