Joe Kent has released a TV, radio, and digital ad reminding voters that Rep. Herrera Beutler did nothing to stop a vital VA clinic in Chehalis from shutting down and to announce his plan to allow veterans to have the option of getting medical service outside the VA system.
Joe made the following statement:
“Establishment hacks like Jamie Herrera Beutler use our veterans as props for photo ops but when we needed to her to fight for veterans in our district, she abandoned us.
When budget cuts threatened to shut down this veteran’s clinic in Chehalis a year ago, Congresswoman Jamie Herrera Beutler was nowhere to be found. She allowed it to close, forcing to veterans to drive five hours to get the healthcare they were promised.
I’m a veteran myself and as your congressman, I will fight to allow veterans to go to the doctors and clinics of their choice instead of relying on a few government run facilities.
Jamie Herrera Beutler abandoned our veterans, but I’ve got their backs.”
