Last week, Congressman Raja joined John Williams on WGN Radio to discuss Wednesday’s Committee on Oversight and Reform hearing in which the Congressman questioned gun manufacturers about their ads on social media. When John asked Congressman Raja what Congress could do to keep dangerous weapons out of the wrong hands, the Congressman told him, “I’ve called for ceasing the sales of these particular AR-15 style assault weapons. And the reason is very simple. They are proliferating at such a great pace that we now are seeing advertisements for AR-style weapons that can pierce body armor and shoot through every bullet-proof vest that even law enforcement has. We are basically having weapons of war becoming accessible to average citizens.”
