Harshbarger honors Hawkins Vietnam Vets during ceremony at Post 21

Congresswoman Diana Harshbarger honored Hawkins County’s Vietnam veterans and their families during an event hosted Friday by the Rogersville American Legion Post 21. Harshbarger partnered with the U.S. Vietnam War Commemoration to find and honor Vietnam era veterans for their service. Vets received a lapel pin and congressional commendation certificate in recognition of their service. A total of 67 Hawkins County Vietnam Vets registered for the recognition, of whom 52 either showed up in person, or a family member showed up in their place, to receive a pin and certificate. The rest of the Vets will receive their pin and certificate in the mail.
