Branford, CT- Bob Stefanowski, Republican candidate for Governor of Connecticut, and State Representative Laura Devlin of Fairfield, Republican candidate for Lt. Governor, accept the endorsement of the Connecticut Chapter of the Fraternal Order of Police.
“I am honored to accept the endorsement of the Connecticut Chapter of the Fraternal Order of Police. Governor Lamont signed into a law a broad-brush police reform bill that made it harder for good police officers to do their job protecting our communities. Crime is hurting communities across Connecticut, especially in our cities. Our local law enforcement has been subjected to physical assaults, and our state and local police departments are struggling to recruit new officers and keep good officers from retiring. It’s not only law enforcement, our corrections officers and inmates across the state have been living in unhealthy and unsafe conditions that need to be addressed immediately. This is unsustainable and we can and must do better to keep our communities and our law enforcement safe.” Bob Stefanowski, Candidate for Governor.
“I have been so grateful to represent my local law enforcement in the legislature and to receive their support over the years. To have the endorsement and support of the Connecticut Chapter of the Fraternal Order of Police is humbling. Connecticut’s law enforcement officers put their lives on the line for our communities every day, and what we’ve seen with one-size-fits-all policies coming out of our State Capitol makes our communities less safe and puts our officers at risk. We have to find a better way.” State Representative Laura Devlin, Candidate for Lt. Governor
