Today, Rep. Lisa McClain joined her Republican House colleagues in confronting the Biden Administration’s attempt to manipulate the oil and petroleum markets by banning exports of the products. The group sent a letter to President Biden calling out the action, which puts the Administration’s anti-fossil fuel agenda above the American people.

“The Biden Administration has declared war on American energy.” said Rep. Lisa McClain. “First, he destroys American energy production. Now, he is banning exports of American oil. This hurts our economy, it hurts our allies, and it hurts American workers.  This policy proposal from President Biden would be detrimental to our country and would do long-lasting damage to the American energy industry. We cannot allow that to happen.”

The letter was signed by 103 members, including Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy and Republican WHIP Steve Scalise.
