Federal funds push plans forward for Clinton River water projects

Clinton Township’s long-sought after goal of building a trail along the Clinton River recently took a step forward with $640,000 in federal funding for the projects.

Several Water Trail projects that will become a reality thanks to the funding that was announced by Clinton Township Treasurer Paul Gieleghem and U.S. Rep. Andy Levin.

“Andy Levin recognized, along with us, that the Clinton River is part of our identity and a resource that provides amenity richness and the recreational opportunities that people seek,” Gieleghem said in a statement.
