(Athens, GA) – Small business owner, 1980 UGA Football National Champion, and retired Army Colonel Michael “Mike” Steele endorsed Brian Kemp today saying that he is a man who will “act with determination and dignity” as Georgia’s next Governor.

“I’ve known Brian Kemp for decades,” said Steele. “We grew up together in Athens and I watched Brian tackle the opportunities and challenges that faced him in both business and politics.

“Brian is a straight shooter. Over the years, I’ve never heard Kemp blame another person for something that’s his responsibility. He never shirks his duties when things get tough.

“When deciding who to back for governor on July 24, ask yourself if you prefer a guy in a suit who will tap dance his way around issues – or a man like Brian Kemp who will act with determination and dignity to move our state towards a bright and prosperous future.

“As for me, I will stand proudly and firmly by Brian during this election, and remain a supporter after he is elected as Georgia’s next governor.”
