Illinois AFL-CIO Endorses Sean Casten for Re-Election

Downers Grove, IL — Today, U.S. Congressman Sean Casten (D-IL) announced he has been endorsed by the Illinois AFL-CIO, representing 1,500 local unions and nearly 900,000 workers across Illinois.

“Since I ran for Congress in 2018, I have always stood with working families & organized labor. I’m honored to have the support of the Illinois AFL-CIO,” said Rep. Sean Casten. “I proudly supported the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and the Inflation Reduction Act which will bring more good-paying, union jobs to Illinois.”

Casten has earned a 100% labor voting record each term since being elected in 2018. He has previously been endorsed by the Associated Fire Fighters of Illinois, IBEW International & Illinois State Conference, the International Association of Fire Fighters, as well as more than a dozen other local unions.
