This week I selected former state Rep. Shane Hernandez as my running mate because of his proven conservative credentials, commitment to President Trump’s America First agenda, and record of fighting against Gretchen Whitmer.
Shane was named the most conservative member of the House when he served two terms there. He is solid on every issue: Life, Second Amendment, Education, Individual Liberties, Taxes and Regulations, and Rolling Back Government Overreach. He had a 100% from the NRA, A+ from the American Conservative Union, and was endorsed by the Michigan Farm Bureau and Right to Life of Michigan. He was a leader in fighting Whitmer’s unconstitutional lockdowns and executive orders. His demand for answers about Whitmer’s nursing home deaths will continue during this campaign.
During Shane's previous campaigns, he vowed to fight the radical socialists alongside President Trump. He said President Trump’s foreign policy is the best he’s ever seen, and in our conversations, he told me President Trump is the best president of our lifetimes. I agreed. His support for President Trump and his policies were an important factor in my decision to select him. A leading Republican activist recently said Shane was “Ultra MAGA before there was such a thing.”
President Trump endorsed me because he believed my vision and plans are the best for Michigan. Shane is best equipped to help me enact them.
