Gallatin, TN—Today,as part of Congress's annual August district work period, U.S. Rep. John Rose (TN-6) attended the Gallatin Chamber of Commerce Luncheon to listen to the thoughts and concerns of Tennesseans in the business industry and discuss his legislative priorities headed into the next Congress.

Rep. Rose also shared his vision and legislative goals if Republicans gain the majority of seats in the U.S. House of Representatives, which he describes as a "Commitment to America." Rep. Rose's "Commitment to America" focuses on fighting inflation, reducing gas prices, fixing the supply chain, and holding President Biden accountable for his executive overreach.

U.S. Rep. John Rose released the following statement:

"Local businesses drive our economy," said Rep. Rose. "My job is to listen to them so I can effectively represent their interests in Washington. As Speaker Pelosi and Leader Schumer ram through a bill that increases taxes amidst a recession and does nothing to assist Tennesseans struggling with record-breaking price increases, I am focused on finding solutions to the problems local businesses are facing."

U.S. Representative John Rose is currently serving his second term representing Tennessee's Sixth Congressional District and resides in Cookeville with his wife, Chelsea, and their two sons, Guy and Sam. The Sixth District includes Cannon, Clay, Coffee, Cumberland, DeKalb, Fentress, Jackson, Macon, Overton, Pickett, Putnam, Robertson, Smith, Sumner, Trousdale, White, and Wilson counties as well as portions of Cheatham and Van Buren counties. Representative Rose is an eighth-generation farmer, small business owner, and attorney, and currently serves on the House Financial Services Committee.
