John Rose for Congress: U.S. Rep. John Rose Speaks at TTU’s Inaugural Economic Summit

Cookeville, TN—Yesterday,as part of Congress’s annual August district work period, U.S. Rep. John Rose (TN-6), a Tennessee Technological University (TTU) alumnus, spoke at TTU’s Inaugural Economic Summit on the current state of the economy and the need for more affordable and abundant energy.

Rep. Rose shared his vision and legislative goals if Republicans gain the majority of seats in the U.S. House of Representatives, which he describes as a “Commitment to America.” Rep. Rose’s “Commitment to America” focuses on fighting inflation, reducing gas prices, fixing the supply chain, and holding President Biden accountable for his executive overreach.

U.S. Rep. John Rose released the following statement:

“It’s always a pleasure to be back at my alma mater, especially when discussing an issue as important as the economic challenges we face in the days ahead due to the spending-induced recession caused by President Biden and Congressional Democrats. My message to attendees of the summit was simple: they will be the ones that lay the foundation for the future of Tennessee. My job is simply to listen and represent them when I go to Washington so that I can best serve their economic development goals.”

U.S. Representative John Rose is currently serving his second term representing Tennessee's Sixth Congressional District and resides in Cookeville with his wife, Chelsea, and their two sons, Guy and Sam. The Sixth District includes Cannon, Clay, Coffee, Cumberland, DeKalb, Fentress, Jackson, Macon, Overton, Pickett, Putnam, Robertson, Smith, Sumner, Trousdale, White, and Wilson counties as well as portions of Cheatham and Van Buren counties. Representative Rose is an eighth-generation farmer, small business owner, and attorney, and currently serves on the House Financial Services Committee.
