ATLANTA – Today the Kemp for Governor campaign released the following digital ad, contrasting Governor Brian Kemp’s record of fighting for life at the heartbeat with Georgia’s LIFE Act with former Senator Perdue neglecting to join more than 200 Republican members of Congress in calling to overturn Roe v. Wade while serving in the U.S. Senate.

“During his first year in office, Governor Kemp fulfilled one of his top campaign pledges by championing and signing Georgia’s Heartbeat Bill, standing up for the unborn and showing the world that Georgia values life at all stages,” said Cody Hall, Director of Communications. “Just like he did with the Election Integrity Act last year, Governor Kemp spent months defending the Heartbeat Bill against those who wanted to boycott our state and punish conservatives who value life. Meanwhile, former Senator Perdue was nowhere to be found, and refused to join his fellow Republicans in Congress in calling to overturn the very decision that made abortion the law of the land.

“The contrast could not be clearer; Georgians deserve a governor who stands up for our values – not one who hides when it matters most.”
