ATLANTA – On April 26, Governor Brian Kemp signed the largest income tax cut in Georgia history which passed the General Assembly with overwhelming bipartisan support and returns $1 billion to Georgia taxpayers. It has been 50 days, and Stacey Abrams still refuses to tell the people of Georgia – including the 76 Democrats who voted for it – whether she supports it or would repeal it.
“In the midst of an economic disaster caused by Democrats in Washington, Stacey Abrams’ silence on the largest income tax cut in Georgia history signed by Governor Kemp is disqualifying,” said Tate Mitchell, Press Secretary. “As Georgians face skyrocketing prices at their gas pumps and grocery stores, Governor Kemp is fighting to bring relief by ensuring they keep more of their hard-earned money in their pockets. Families struggling to make ends meet in our state thanks to Democratic policies deserve the answer to a simple question: will Stacey Abrams support the largest income tax cut in state history?”
