Congresswoman Carolyn Bourdeaux is deeply involved in service to the community. She recently reached another milestone by participating in over 200 community events in district seven, including 16 town halls and two job fairs, since taking office in 2021. In 2022 alone, Bourdeaux participated in over fifty events to engage with constituents, small businesses, and local leaders.

Bourdeaux's dedication to community building has brought people from all walks of life together. It is one of the reasons that she was the only Democrat in the country to flip a Republican seat in Congress in 2020 and the first Democrat to win the seventh district in decades.

Congresswoman Carolyn Bourdeaux said, "This district is one of the most diverse communities in the country and continues to be critical to holding the line against Trumpism both in Georgia and nationally. I've worked with all of the communities that make up the seventh district to build a coalition that flipped this seat in 2020 and, frankly, represents the future of our democracy.

The challenges we face in this district are very real. The diverse communities in Gwinnett and Johns Creek deserve a representative who shows up for them every day, understands their unique issues, and delivers for them in the US Congress."

Congresswoman Bourdeaux will be available for interviews upon request. To request an interview, contact Titilayo Okuwa at 407-223-0016 or press@carolyn4congress.com.

Congresswoman Carolyn Bourdeaux represents Georgia’s 7th Congressional District. She lives in Gwinnett with her husband and ten-year-old son. In 2020, Bourdeaux flipped Georgia’s 7th from red to blue -  the only competitive Democratic pick up in the country.

A former professor at the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State and veteran policy analyst, Dr. Bourdeaux has fought in Congress for affordable quality health care, world-class education for our children, voting rights, and bringing transit and improved mobility to Georgia’s 7th district.
