Today, Congresswoman Carolyn Bourdeaux announced the members of her Muslim Leadership Council. This group of diverse Islamic community leaders will ensure the many voices within the Islamic community are represented in Carolyn’s grassroots-powered campaign.
Congresswoman Carolyn Bourdeaux said, “Georgia’s 7th district has transformed over the past few years and become a true model of the American Dream. Our community is stronger because of our Islamic American neighbors. I am proud that my campaign is powered by a diverse, grassroots coalition that is truly representative of our community. Everyone deserves an advocate in Congress who will put in the work to get things done.”

- Umber Hanief — Gwinnett Tech English Program Director and Former Director of Interfaith Relationships at Madina Institute of Atlanta
