Today, the Carolyn Bourdeaux for Congress campaign announced Congresswoman Bourdeaux raised more than $430,000 in the fourth quarter of 2021, bringing her total raised to nearly $2.5 million this cycle with over $2 million on hand. Bourdeaux’s strong quarter shows the momentum behind her re-election campaign and the powerful coalition of grassroots support from all across the diverse communities of Gwinnett County
“Congresswoman Bourdeaux has raised her formidable warchest without taking a dime of corporate PAC money,” Campaign Manager Ashely Wolsefer said. “Instead she has relied on her powerful coalition of grassroots supporters—workers, teachers, business owners, families, community leaders, and advocates. Voters want someone who will do more than just talk about change, and will put in the work to actually get things done.”
Over 61% of her donors last year gave for the first time in 2021, a true testament to the support she has garnered since first being sworn into office. Whether it’s through her dedication to bolstering small businesses, expanding Medicaid, advocating on the frontlines of voting rights, or leading the charge on getting historical investment in our nation’s infrastructure, Congresswoman Bourdeaux has inspired voters and supporters to engage with our democracy, many for the first time.
