Pressley Applauds Confirmation of Rachael Rollins as U.S. Attorney for Massachusetts

WASHINGTON – Today, Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley (MA-07) issued the following statement on the Senate’s confirmation of Rachael Rollins to be U.S. Attorney for the District of Massachusetts. 

“The Senate’s confirmation of my sister in service, Rachael Rollins, as our next United States Attorney for the District of Massachusetts—and the first Black woman to hold the position—is historic and will move the Commonwealth and our country closer to the promise of ‘equal justice for all.’ Rollins has been a relentless and unapologetic champion in the Work of improving the lives of Massachusetts residents, centering justice and equity every step of the way. 

“I thank Senators Warren and Markey for spearheading Rollins’ nomination and I look forward to continuing my partnership with her to reimagine public safety and root out the systemic injustices in our legal system that have inflicted hurt and harm on our most vulnerable communities for generations.”
