Today, Congressman Bill Huizenga (R-MI) announced his support for multiple pieces of legislation to block the Biden Administration’s Vaccine Mandate. H.R. 5811 is designed to block President Joe Biden from using the Department of Labor and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to issue an order that would force employers of more than 100 employees to impose and enforce a vaccine mandate on their employees. H.R. 5908 would rescind COVID-19 mandates for federal contractors and federal employees issued by Executive Order 14042 and Executive Order 14043.

“President Biden shouldn’t be using coercive mandates to determine how mothers and fathers put food on their tables in West Michigan,” said Congressman Bill Huizenga. “As significant disruptions continue with our supply chain and overall labor force, the last thing we need are mandates from Washington that will make the situation worse. The measures I am supporting would either block or repeal President Biden’s COVID-19 Mandates. Many businesses will not have the operational budget to afford weekly testing. Americans should have the choice to take the COVID-19 vaccine, not be forced by the federal government or lose their job.”
