Today, Congressman Bill Huizenga (R-MI) issued the following statement after the Congressional Budget Office released an updated finding on President Biden’s “Build Back Better” proposal when viewed through the standard 10 year budget window.

“The cost of President Biden’s signature proposal is not zero as he falsely claimed,” said Congressman Bill Huizenga. “According to the Congressional Budget Office, when you take away the budget gimmicks included in this bill, the Buy Back Voters Act spends nearly $5 trillion and adds a whopping $3 trillion to the debt.”

“Since the day President Biden announced this enormous expansion of government, the President and Speaker Pelosi have lied to the American people about its true cost. With inflation already near a 40 year high, it’s clear this $5 trillion spending spree will not only further mortgage our children’s future, it will also make it more difficult for families to make ends meet today by raising prices even higher.”
