Huizenga Announces New Chief of Staff & District Director to Serve West Michigan

Today, Congressman Bill Huizenga (R-MI) announced staff changes in both his Washington, D.C. and Michigan Offices. Todd Whiteman has been promoted from District Director to Chief of Staff and Trevor TenBrink has been promoted from Legislative Director to District Director.

 “I am proud to promote both Todd and Trevor and continue the tradition of having people from West Michigan, serve West Michigan,” said Congressman Bill Huizenga. “I look forward to working with Todd and Trevor in their new capacities to make West Michigan an even better place to live, work, and raise a family.”

Whiteman has served as Congressman Huizenga’s District Director since January of 2020. Prior to joining Huizenga’s Office, Mr. Whiteman served as the Executive Director of the Disability Network Lakeshore for eight and a half years. Additionally, Whiteman served from 2009-2017 as a member of the Holland City Council. Whiteman, a graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University, holds degrees in Economics and Management.

TenBrink has served West Michigan in Congressman Huizenga’s DC Office since 2017 and has been a key advisor on policy issues including: agriculture, life, education, and the Great Lakes. Prior to joining Huizenga’s Office, TenBrink worked for Congressman Tim Walberg and Michigan State Representative Chris Afendoulis. TenBrink, a native of Jenison, is a graduate of Grand Valley State University holding a degree in Political Science with a minor in Business.
