Today U.S. Representative Mike Thompson (D-CA) endorsed state Senator Adam Hollier for Congress. Rep. Thompson is the Chair for the House Gun Violence Prevention Task Force. He is also a military veteran who served in Vietnam.

"I am pleased to endorse state Senator Adam Hollier for Michigan's 13th District," Rep. Mike Thompson said. "I know Adam has what it takes to get things done for the people of Metro Detroit in Washington. As a veteran myself, I am particularly drawn to his service in the U.S. Army Reserves. You need strong leadership skills to serve our country, and it is clear Adam has what it takes. It's those same skills that will make Senator Hollier a successful Congressperson."

“I’m honored to have Rep. Thompson’s endorsement,” Hollier said.“While we initially bonded over both being paratroopers in the Army, we also share a deep commitment to making our country a better place for all citizens. I am proud of my strong relationships with current Members of Congress, and I know those will be an asset to me once elected. Rep. Thompson, like me, knows the importance of advocating for all of your constituents, not just those who vote for you. I am excited to keep doing the work, and join him as a colleague in Congress.”

Representative Thompson joins many national voices in support of state Senator Adam Hollier for Congress, including Rep. Seth Moulton (MA-6), former Secretary of State of Missouri,  Jason Kander, and former Congressman Patrick J. Kennedy.
